Join art consultant Adele Darlington as she demonstrates how the book Wings, Waves and Webs, written and illustrated by Robin Mitchell Cranfield, can be used to enhance the art curriculum and inspire children to look at, think about and discuss the many patterns found in nature. This book beautifully highlights those natural artforms often overlooked and taken for granted in the world we live in. Think spots, stripes, spirals, symmetry, waves and more. Adele will show you how this book can be used in the classroom and in the outside environment, with suggestions for discussion based and practical activities including going on an outdoor pattern hunt, drawing spiral artwork, exploring butterfly symmetry and making paper wave sculptures
