Overview

This course will be of use to any secondary art teacher who wishes to improve their use of assessment to motivate pupils, successfully move their learning forward and help them take ownership of their own progression. Used badly, assessment can hinder progress and make pupils feel like they are unable to achieve success. Used well, it can transform learners into lifelong enthusiasts for the subject. The session will also look at metacognition and how can be integrated into the classroom.
