Overview

‘Everything has to do with Geography, and Geography has to do with everything’ (Judy Martz). In being leaders of Geography in our schools we find ourselves in the fortunate position whereby cross-curricula links are plentiful. In this course we focus on meaningful links from geography to literacy and numeracy. In an already crowded timetable it makes sense for us to use motivating geographical contexts to also develop literacy and numeracy skills: this half day course shares ideas about how we might go about this.
