Difficult conversations for Senior Leaders

Leadership is about telling a story of the future and taking people there. This sometimes involves challenging conversations with people when the ‘will’ or ‘skill’ of theirs makes it hard for them to improve. We will look at how to hold difficult conversations confidently, using some simple preparation and simple stages in a conversation.

We will also look at how to handle situations that arise within a conversation. Some key approaches such as paraphrase and reflection to help listening and to engage the person. We will look at Steelmanning and building from the points of connection.
