Overview

90% of good thinking comes from the initial perceptual stage and only 10% in the processing (logical stage) Prof. David Perkins of Harvard University. But how good are we at teaching the techniques and providing the structure to promote great thinking? This workshop will explore simple techniques to ensure learners think more deeply

About The Course

This workshop will consider how learners can be made to think beyond the obvious, independently of the teacher. It will provide strategies for scaffolding thinking to improve outcomes for all. We will explore how we can help learners to generate the right questions to drive their learning and motivation? Participants will leave with some ideas and resources needed to facilitate a number of thinking techniques as part of everyday classroom practice (not as a separate activity). There will be plenty to use the very next day.

This live, interactive workshop will be delivered via Zoom. Numbers are limited to 20 participants.
