Course objectives:

To explore specific SEND published materials for mathematics (including some materials on dyscalculia).

To consider various support approaches and strategies when working with children with difficulties in mathematics.
- To examine some key resources (manipulatives) and see how they can support SEND children
During this course there will be an opportunity to examine some key teacher books, assessments and resources which support the teaching and learning for this special group of children. You will also see key maths resources in action and take away instant ideas to use back in school. The resource list includes: beadstrings, beadbars, numberlines, Numicon, two colour counters, place value resources, ten frames, individual base ten sets and much more. Post attendance, delegates will be sent a folder of key documents and a copy of the presentation as a pdf file.
