Overview

The Learning Partnership has commissioned expert tutors to lead professional learning communities (PLC) for staff in schools.

Our PLC tutors will work with and support teachers, meet regularly, share expertise and work collaboratively to improve teaching skills and the academic performance of students

Comprising two sessions (each between 45 and 60 minutes) per term focusing on a specific area. You will need to attend both sessions to gain the maximum from the programme.

We have commissioned Potential Plus UK to lead the PLC for more able learners:

Having a common understanding of who high potential learners are across a school setting is an area that many schools struggle with.

This topic will give participants a thorough understanding of the issues and what best practice is to empower teachers to use their best judgements and ensure those who need provision have access to it.

Participants will gain valuable tools to tailor and use in their own settings.

Colleagues will have the opportunity to access a secure online discussion board should they wish, enabling the building of a community, plus some connection with the course tutor to respond to and support. There is an additional charge of £10 per person per session for this facility. **please state at point of booking if you wish to have access to the online discussion board (make a note in the 'Special requirements' box of the booking form)
