4th March - curriculum making in geography - we will look at a selection of aspects you would bring to the table in order to curriculum make for geography

11th March - leading geography - an exploration of your leadership skills, what you might include in a subject leader file, tools for auditing your subject and geographical resources. To break things up we will also briefly visit the use of story and images in geography

18th March - geographical skills - we touch on the different geographical skills, offering suggestions for each and dive deeper into fieldwork

About the Programme Leader

Nell Seal has worked for the last 22 years in environmental and outdoor learning, including managing a residential outdoor centre, as a consultant to the Geographical Association and as an advisory teacher for Norfolk County Council.

Nell has both a BSc and MSc in Ecology, a PGCE in Secondary Geography and is a qualified Forest School practitioner. Currently Nell is a freelance consultant specialising in facilitating CPD training in the areas of learning for sustainability, outdoor learning and primary geography. Nell has worked with the Geographical Association for over 10 years and has been a Primary Geography Quality Mark moderator for 4 years. Nell enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for the outdoors with teachers, mooching around her allotment, running slowly and sleeping in hammocks. Nell is now a freelance consultant specialising in facilitating CPD training in the areas of learning for sustainability, outdoor learning and primary Geography. Nell is also a Forest School Practitioner and undertakes consultancy work focused upon quality assurance systems for the Forest School Association.
