Online course for existing or aspiring primary MFL leaders

This is a bitesize version of a full day, interactive course where existing or aspiring subject leaders are able to share ideas, ask questions and gain advice under the guidance of an experienced primary language teacher, leader and trainer. They leave feeling motivated and energised to lead Primary Languages in their school.

This course introduces the 5 principles of Primary Languages and focuses on principles 1 and 2

• Effective Coordination

• Teaching & Learning

• Celebrating Languages in school

• School Ethos

• Community Reach

The course will explore:

• The Role of the MFL Coordinator/Subject leader

• National guidance and support for Primary Languages, creative ways to incorporate DfE Attainment Targets into your planning

• Ensuring pupil progress in Primary Languages & recording evidence

• Intent, Implementation & Impact, preparing for Ofsted
