About The Course

COURSE OUTLINE:

All teachers know how important having a good and wide vocabulary is with regard to student success in all aspects of English, but how many of us actively teach vocabulary and proactively and systematically enable our pupils to improve their vocabulary in the classroom?

This course draws on some of the best research into the teaching of vocabulary and will enable delegates to enhance their understanding of the role of vocabulary development in enhancing learning in reading and writing. It will also provide delegates with a suggested template for building specific and systematic teaching of vocabulary into their English curriculum, no matter how that might currently be organised.
